Beautiful

If you are a short/petite teacher, do you feel it made you self-conscious?

I am a teacher who is teaching at high school. Silly as it may sound, I have a bit of a complex about my height. I'm only 4'11"; I wear heels and am about 5'1" or 5'2" with heels. It's weird trying to be an authority figure (in a sense) to girls and boys who are so much taller. I just feel too small, in a lot of ways. I feel much more comfortable being a "teacher" to elementary kids or even middle school kids. But I really prefer high school (as far as the material and the age-group). Your thoughts?

Sometimes we forgot that...

"To get something we never had, we have to do something we never did. When God takes something from our grasp, He's not punishing us, but merely opening our hands to receive something better. God will never take us where the Grace of God will not protect us."

Chat to stimulate learning

Essential Tips for teachers;

as i read the borneo post (your guide to good english)dated 24 feb 10 pp.16. i was so excited to share the info. on 'Chat to stimulate learning'. it was so interesting cause students can use it in the language learning classroom especially those still find it too difficult to speak without first having a little 'thinking' time and also as a means of moving students away from being overly-concerned with accuracy, and focussing more on successful communication. Marta Joyce the writer, shares the learning activity using the 'chatting' online.

Technology is a blessing that i have 2 enjoy...

Sometimes i feel that those who were born in the era of technology and innovation as now are very lucky..ehem..just like us.Today we can communicate with family members or friends by just connect yourselves through handphone, email, facebook,chatting on the webcam and many other technology devices...you name it.We can say that everything is on your finger tips. Well, you know which group will enjoy the most of this facilities?Of course the students. They are the majority among users who explore at their best the use of technology now especially those study in town where they can easily connected to the network.(exclude those who are at rural schools :( poor little fellow),sorry to say.Imbalance technology progress. Please could someone out there, the so called technology genius,do something about it?Their bloggers say something please.......
